Ministry Of Air
Coaches operate a scheme of comprehensive Skills development, that covers much more than the basic requirements of specific competitions. This gives our members a very wide technical base from which to draw whilst developing newer skills and Competition routines.
We also implement a pattern of specific Drills (i.e. repetition of specific skills), designed to consolidate the technical base gained through skills acquisition, and progressively improve the form/style. Drills complement our Skills development scheme and provide the logical bridge into Competition routines.
An example of a simple Drill with 2 discrete skills is
Seat Drop, to Feet
, repeated several times (left). More complex Drills might involve single or double somersaults.
We maintain a checklist for each member, thus enabling each Coach to continue development or progression from a reference that the member is familiar with. This checklist is available for inspection by any parents, wishing to gain understanding of their children's development.
Ministry Of Air
enable recognition of the key stages in this development through our
Proficiency
scheme.
